Background:

The client had installed an Membrane Bioreactor plant but found that the membranes were being prematurely blinded and damaged by particles passing through the 3mm screens. Due to the high costs of membrane replacement it was decided to install a fine screen with 1mm perforations.

Application:

Screening prior to the Membrane Bioreactor.

Solution:

Design and manufacture 3 No Lackeby Roto-Sieve® drum screen with conveyors to remove screenings to a skip.

Performance:

Successfully protects the membrane; due to its enclosed design, there is no chance of bypassing.
