     Phot-OX

Photo-oxidation technology is particularly cost-effective means of destroying Volatile Organic Compounds found in many waste air streams. It can be used instead of base carbon or upstream to maximise carbon life. The technology enjoys Best Available Technology (BAT) status.

Photo-Oxidation

The Phot-OX system is used to destroy VOCs and other organic and inorganic odours in waste gas streams. The contaminants are oxidised by exposure to shortwave (UV-C) light. The UV lamps create ozone, a powerful oxidant, that oxidises the contaminants, the mainly treated air is then passed through a catalytic module that completes the reaction and converts any unreacted ozone back to oxygen.

Benefits

  • Very low operational costs compared with base carbon
  • No Media to replace or dispose of
  • Small footprint
  • Ideal for retrofitting to existing carbon systems to maximise media life
  • Minimal maintenance
  • Low energy consumption

Flows

  • Systems designed and sized to suit your required design parameters
